Travel Phrase Cards (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (“the App”).

1. Information We Collect

a. Device Access

The App accesses media on your device to display and play phrase cards, and to enable features such as text-to-speech. All core processing occurs locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your media content by default.

b. Saved Content

Cards, images, and audio generated or saved from within the App are stored locally on your device. Metadata such as timestamps or location (when applicable) may be embedded in saved media.

c. Analytics Data

We use third-party analytics tools such as:

• Firebase Analytics
• Microsoft Clarity

These tools may collect anonymized data including:

• Device type and operating system
• App usage patterns (e.g., screen views, button taps)
• Crash reports and performance metrics

This data helps us improve the App experience. No personal media content is included in analytics.

d. Advertising & Tracking

The App may display third-party advertisements.
On supported platforms, we implement App Tracking Transparency (ATT) to request your permission before tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.

e. AI-generated Content

Some content in the App — including suggested phrases, images, and text-to-speech audio — may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. While we aim for useful and accurate outputs, AI-generated content may be incorrect or imprecise. You should verify important information before relying on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content and are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from its use.

f. Local Data & Backups

All custom data you create in the App (for example: cards, scenarios, bookmarks, or exported media) is saved locally on your device. We do not collect or retain this custom data on our servers. If you uninstall the App or reset your device, locally stored data may be lost. The App provides a backup and restore feature you can use to export and import your data; we recommend using it to keep copies of important content.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve App functionality
• Monitor performance and fix bugs
• Understand user behavior to enhance usability
• Serve relevant advertisements (if tracking is permitted)

3. Data Storage & Security

We do not upload, transmit, or store your cards, audio, or other media created in the App by default.
Analytics data is stored securely by our third-party providers and is anonymized to protect your identity.

4. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including:

• The right to access or delete your data
• The right to opt out of tracking or analytics
• The right to withdraw consent at any time
